Cape May-Lewes Ferry
The Cape May-Lewes Ferry is one of the most popular ferry crossings on the East Coast, connecting Cape May, New Jersey with Lewes, Delaware across the Delaware Bay. Operated by the Delaware River and Bay Authority, it carries hundreds of thousands of passengers and vehicles each year.
Project
Overview
As part of the DRBA digital transformation, Spruce designed and built a modern website for the Cape May-Lewes Ferry — creating a compelling, functional digital destination for one of the East Coast’s most beloved travel experiences.
The ferry serves a mix of regular commuters, vacationers, and first-time travelers — each with different information needs and levels of familiarity with the service. The website needed to serve all of these audiences effectively while driving online reservations and communicating schedules, fares, and the unique appeal of the crossing.
